WORK WITH ME

Work with artist Michelle Abrahall

There are so many ways to bring creativity and flair to your small business, without breaking the bank. If you’re interested in working with me for your next illustration, branding, or mural project, then you’re in the right place! Let’s have a look at my most popular design services and pricing:

Logo Design

Using my skills as an illustrator, I create inspiring logo designs that are totally bespoke. The most popular service is my Business Branding Package for new businesses and start ups. If you’re an established business that’s fallen out of love with your branding, I can upgrade your DIY logo or outdated logo into a professional and flexible design asset you can be proud of.

Business Branding Package

A great-value design package with a whole library of bespoke assets – everything a new business needs to hit the ground running for £975. The package includes:

  • Logo design: 3 to 4 creative concepts and development into final logo. Final logo files provided in various formats for online and print use.
  • Brand guidelines: includes best practice for logo use, your brand colour palette selection with references for online and print, and information on what fonts to use.
  • Print design: print-ready artwork for either double-sided business cards or a single-sided A5 flyer, created with your new branding.
  • Social media cover image artwork: for use on Facebook / LinkedIn / X.
  • ‘Small use’ logo: a small version of the logo suitable to use in a square or circle (as a social media profile image, for example).

The branding design process

Step 1 – The first thing we do is have a good old chat so I can find out about your business and the market you want to attract. I’ll ask you lots of question that might feel like we’re on a first date, like ‘what’s your favourite colour?’ and ‘is your vibe more traditional or modern?’.

I’ll ask you to put together a mood board of logos that you love (Pinterest is great for this) to give me a real insight into your visual preferences.

Step 2 – I take all of this juicy information, distil it, and create a selection of 3-4 logo concepts. We get together over a video call and go through your feedback, then I develop one of the concepts into the final logo.

Step 3 – Once you’re happy with the logo design, I create the rest of the assets for your branding package. And voila! You have all the design essentials to get cracking with your new venture.

Upgrade Options – prices vary

You can also customise your Business Branding Package by adding additional elements such as:

  • Branded social media templates and/or backgrounds to use in Canva.
  • Website graphics, illustrations or bespoke icons.
  • Print-ready artwork for posters or roller banners.
  • Leaflet or brochure design.

Mural Art

Hand-painted murals are a huge trend for small businesses. They’re eye-catching, authentic, and the antidote to a world of dull corporate imagery! And the best news? Any business with a wall can benefit from the magic of a mural.

Here are some ways murals can elevate your environment:

  • Create a friendly space for clients or patients to feel welcome and at ease.
  • Reflect your brand values with mottos or testimonials.
  • Give a new lease of life to busy team areas (kitchens, meeting rooms, open plan offices).

My mural services are rooted in my skills and experience as an illustrator, and I absolutely love doing them! Got a question about hiring me to create a mural for your business? Check out these mural art FAQs:

How do I commission a mural with Michelle Abrahall?

The first step is to get in touch and tell me as much as possible about the project. You can email hello@michelleabrahall.com or fill in the contact form below. Let me know where you’re based, how big the wall is (don’t worry if you don’t have exact measurement at this stage), and what style of mural design you’re looking for. Photos are always helpful! We can then arrange a chat on the phone or a site visit.

How much does a mural cost?

Pricing up a mural depends on several factors:  Size of wall. Quality of wall surface. Accessibility (will I need to hire a scaffold platform or a lift). Complexity of design. Every mural enquiry is priced up on an individual basis and the quote includes design, installation, materials, equipment, and travel.

Saying all that, you might be surprised to hear that prices start at just £500 for design and installation. For a piece of custom artwork that will last for years and years, that represents amazing value!

What is the mural design process?

Once the quote has been agreed and the deposit received, I get to work on the design. From our initial conversations, phone/video calls and site visits, I will have all the information needed to create a mural concept. Where possible, I will use site photos to create a mock-up to show how the mural will look in the space. You then give me feedback and I tweak the design until you’re happy to sign it off, ready for installation.

What style of murals do you create?

I create bold, colourful, eye-catching murals rooted in my skills as an illustrator. They are all painted by hand – just think of the wall as a huge canvas! I am not a graffiti or spray-paint artist, so if that’s the style you’re looking for there are other artists better suited to a collaboration.

Have a browse of my portfolio to see the style of murals I’ve created for other businesses, including large florals, child-friendly cartoons, and immersive landscapes. I also do hand-lettering for mottos and phrases and can paint a large-scale version of your company logo.

How long does a mural take to install?

Most of the murals I’ve installed have taken 1-3 days on site to complete.

What kind of business can have a mural?

As long as you have permission to paint on the wall, any kind of business can commission a mural. Here are some examples of businesses that have hired me to transform their space:

  • Yoga studio
  • Pub
  • Zero waste retailer
  • Community centre
  • Primary school
  • Open plan office
  • Café
  • Housing developer
  • Restaurant
  • Womenswear Boutique
  • Art Gallery

I can also create murals for domestic spaces like bedrooms, kitchens and gardens.

Do you do interior or exterior murals?

Both! As long as the wall has a decent quality surface, I can paint on it. With exterior murals you need to plan according to the weather as installation is not possible on a rainy day. Something to bear in mind if you’re on a tight deadline!

What if my wall isn't suitable / my landlord won't let me?

There are some instances when painting a mural directly onto a wall isn’t an option. Maybe the surface of the wall is uneven, or there isn’t great access. Perhaps the building is rented, and the landlord won’t give permission (although my response to that is – murals don’t have to be permanent and can be easily covered by a layer of plain emulsion).

In these cases, I can paint the design onto a wooden panel which can then be attached to the wall and removed when needed. I can also paint onto a foam board panel, which is super lightweight and can be attached without screws. Whatever you have in mind for your space, let’s have a chat and come up with the best solution!

Custom Illustration

Some people hear the word ‘illustration’ and immediately think of children’s books! But illustration can be a very powerful visual tool for small businesses. Every project is a customised piece of design tailored to your brand and values.

It’s a great way to communicate with your audience in an authentic way without using stock photography or (shudder) AI generated imagery that cheapens your brand.

Here are some examples of how businesses can use illustration:

  • Illustrated maps
  • Brand mascots
  • Illustrated characters
  • Social media templates
  • Signage
  • Book cover design
  • Infographics
  • Christmas cards
  • Bespoke icon design
  • Packaging and merchandise
I’ve worked with people in many sectors, from schools to shop owners and from authors to accountants. Fill in the form below or send me an email, and I’ll be in touch about how we can get creative together.
